World RecordQuotes

The Guinness World Record event on Sunday May 30th was truly one of the greatest experiences of my life. Having worked solidly for one month prior the big day sending out music, doing interviews, promoting and contacting sax players, it was truly amazing to see everything fall into place and so many great, enthusiastic and amazing sax players of all ages and levels show up to beat the record. Even the Gods co-operated and the weather was perfect. We couldn't have done it without all the great sax players and also our volunteers, organizers and sponsors. Thanks for making a all the hard work pay off... I can't wait 'til the next event!! Any takers!?!

Sunday, May 30th at Dundas Square in Toronto is an event that I will remember for the rest of my life. It was without a doubt one of the most exhilarating events I have ever been a part of. What a true joy it was to see and hear over 900 saxophonists playing Canada's national hockey anthem! The sense of comraderie was infectious and the vibe was spiritually uplifting, transcending the accomplishment! Another example of the power of music as a universal language and it's ability to bring people together!

As I looked out over the shining sea of saxophones, one thought kept repeating itself... what's the third verse of "Out Of My House, Roach"?

Wanted to send out a Thank You from all at
Jazz FM 91.1 www.jazz.fm

The station was proud to associate itself with The Shuffle Demons and this hare-brained scheme, whether or not it worked. It worked!

Hearing 930 sax players do free jazz was the most surreal moment of the 21st Century for me!
